Every wedding I show up to photograph, I try to convince myself that it will be the one that I don’t tear up at. Well, Holly and Ansel’s wedding was not the one! These two had some of the sweetest, most heartfelt vows that I’ve heard to date, which left themselves, their guests, and this photographer tearing up.
The forecast was not as beautiful, however. High winds and rain were forecasted, but thank goodness the rain left and lifted the clouds jusssst enough to see Lake Willoughby and the Willoughby gap. The wind stuck around, so a HUGE shout out is in order for Crystal, who did the ladies’ hair. This didn’t stop everyone from having a phenomenal time at a beautiful venue, with a really awesome couple that left people smiling after every interaction they had.
With all this being said, it should come as no surprise that as a wedding photographer, I had a field day with the even lighting and beautiful Vermont backdrop. This was also the first wedding for my second shooter, Ally, a South Burlington High School student.
Do-it-yourselfers and Vermont barn wedding lovers rejoice! Holly and Ansel’s wedding photos are sure to give you TONS of inspiration as you plan your wedding. I’m in love with these photos, and I hope you like them, too!
