Fall weddings in Vermont almost always call for absolutely BEAUTIFUL photos. The forecast called for lots of sunshine to start the day, then increasing cloud coverage in the afternoon, which meant I could get some really vibrant detail shots before the ceremony, and have even lighting for formal shots. This was my first time at the Sleepy Hollow Inn and let me tell you, I LOVED it. I’ll let the photos do most of the talking, but I just have to point out how there was SO much beauty, so many cool spots, all within basically the same area. It was extremely convenient but didn’t feel small at all! As a wedding photographer, I’m definitely used to getting my steps in, so it was a cool break to have everything I need being right close by. But I digress!
Tony, Sarah, and their families are genuinely some of the nicest people you’ll meet. They care deeply for their community, volunteering their time and talents in many different ways. They care deeply for each other and when I met them it seemed like they had already been married for years! They just have that bond and understanding that shines outwardly! Almost every guest was greeted with a huge smile and a hug from Tony, and the seats were packed well in advance of the ceremony.
Everything about this wedding had their own touch, with a lot of DIY skills on display! Table centerpieces featured growlers and bottles from different breweries in Vermont. A “Hole-Y Matrimony” donut display featured some of the best donuts I’ve ever had. This was the first wedding I photographed with a live band (you definitely need to get in touch with Sticks and Stones) and honestly, it was such a great time!
If you’re a fan of fall weddings in Vermont, then you’re definitely going to love these photos! Congrats Sarah and Tony, I’m so excited for you two and wish you the best.
